I fully endorse the mission of this website. Having treated many adults with strabismus and understood that this complex condition not only causes physical issues, but can also have a significant negative impact on their daily lives in various ways, I have often been frustrated to find that I have nowhere to direct my patients for support with psycho-social issues related to strabismus.

I commend the work that Lucia Wilson is doing and am delighted to see that Psychologist and Associate Professor at St Mary’s University, Dr Silvia Riva, is collaborating with the project. I look forward to seeing strabismus-support.co.uk becoming a helpful resource for strabismus sufferers and will be happy to direct future strabismus patients to this site. I am also pleased that attention will be given to the psychological struggles parents and guardians of children with strabismus encounter.
